As the state playoff races heat up we have two more teams fall from the rankings this week. Lassiter was upset by Brookwood in the Georgia state playoffs. Colerain lost to Moeller to end their dream season. The win got fellow Ohio school, Mentor, back in the rankings after their win in the game of the week over St. Ignatius. A Mentor Moeller Ohio state final could be on tap if both teams take care of business in the semifinals this week. Previously ranked Miami Central has also finally worked its way back into the rankings. There are a couple of great games coming this week highlighted by the University School-American Heritage matchup down in south Florida. Also it has now come out that Goose Creek has been ruled ineligible for the rest of the state playoffs but they will stay in the rankings for now.

2) John Curtis (11-0) River Ridge, LA – Defeated North Webster 50-6
3) Bellevue (12-0) Bellevue, WA – Defeated Peninsula 40-3
4) Desoto (11-0) Desoto, TX – Defeated Harker Heights 62-15. Desoto has a huge matchup with Coppell this week in the state playoffs
5) Hoover (12-0) Birmingham, AL – Defeated Pell City 49-26
6) Narbonne (12-0) Harbor City,CA – Defeated Garfield 45-0
7) Katy (11-0) Katy, TX – Defeated Westbury 77-7
8 ) Vista Murrieta (12-0) Murrieta, CA – Defeated Norco 31-16
9) De La Salle (11-0) Concord, CA – Defeated Pittsburg 35-13
10) Butler (13-0) Matthews, NC – Defeated East Forsyth 25-15
11) Ensworth (12-0) Nashville, TN – Defeated Defeated Montgomery Bell Academy 35-7. Faces Memphis University School this week in the Divison 2 AA state championship game.
12) University (9-0) Ft. Lauderdale, FL – Defeated Cardinal Newman 27-0. Play American Heritage Delray this week in a game that has been anticipated all year in south Florida.
13) Our Lady of Good Counsel (11-1) Olney, MD – Defeated rival Dematha 26-14 to bring home another WCAC title.
14) Bentonville (11-0) Bentonville, AR – Defeated West Memphis 42-0
15) American Heritage (10-0) Delray Beach, FL – Defeated Chaminade-Madonna 30-14. As mentioned above they are playing in one of the games of the year versus University School this week.
16) Goose Creek (13-0) Goose Creek, SC – Defeated Bluffton 35-25 but have been disqualified from the state tournament for using and ineligible player.
17) Coppell (11-0) Coppell, TX – Defeated MacArthur 31-7. Showdown with Desoto this week. A win would shoot them up the rankings.
18) Norcross (11-0) Norcross, GA – Defeated Chattahoochee 34-7
19) Grayson (10-1) Loganville, GA – Defeated Wheeler 49-9
20) Steele (11-0) Cibolo, TX – Defeated Marshall 49-17
21) St. John Bosco (8-4) Bellflower, CA – Defeated Notre Dame 24-17
22) Mentor (12-1) Mentor, OH – Back in the rankings after back to back wins over previously nationally ranked teams. This week they avenged their only loss of the season to St. Ignatius with a 57-56 triple OT win.
23) Central (8-2) Miami, FL – Central is the only 2 loss team in the rankings. They are also the only team to even come close against Manatee this year. Their only other loss was to Grayson and both games were on the road.
24) Bishop Gorman (11-1) Las Vegas, NV – Their 3 game streak of scoring 70 ended in the regional finals. They only scored 59 to beat Centennial.
25) North Allegheny (12-0) Wexford, PA – Defeated Seneca Valley 47-17
