It was a fairly quiet week in the rankings this week. The Top 20 teams either won or were idle. Previous #21 Archbishop Rummel (LA) lost to traditional power Don Bosco (NJ) and falls out of the rankings. That opened a spot for St. Joseph Regional (NJ) to make their debut this week ahead of their big showdown with #17 IMG Academy (FL). The game of the week was played in Florida where #2 St. Thomas Aquinas had to come back to beat a very good Hallandale squad. Hallandale has at least 10 D1 starters and is just on the edge of the rankings. The only other team that had any trouble this week was Byrnes (SC). I am going to give them the benefit of the doubt of the doubt for looking ahead to their game of the season this week versus #21 Spartanburg in what will determine the best team in South Carolina.
