Well this is it. The last predictions column of 2016. We are thankful to Geico for giving us another weekend and 2 more games to predict. Hopefully the response this year is good and they happen again next year and possibly with even more games. Thanks to everyone that read this column each week this year. #6 St. Thomas Aquinas vs #25 Bingham
ST. Thomas is coming off one of the most dominant state title runs in Florida playoff history. They outscored their opponents 213-24 in the 5 games and they were all essentially over by halftime. The Raiders were without a doubt one of the most talented teams in the country this year. Two questionable play call cost them a shot at the national title. Bingham is a good football team but they did not play a game outside of the state. They aren’t the best team in Utah in our eyes. That title goes to East for now. There was a rumor that Bingham did not want to play East in a postseason game to ensure they got to play in this Geico game. Well they got their wish. If they pull out the win we have no problem shooting them up the rankings but we do not see that happening.

#19 Chandler vs Valdosta
The first of the Geico games should be much more competitive. Chandler comes in the favorite as they are ranked in many of the national polls while Valdosta is not. Chandler does have two losses on the season but they were both early in the year to very good teams. Their best game of the season may have actually been the 7 point loss to #10 Centennial. Valdosta has 1 loss on the season to last year’s national champ Colquitt County. This game will be the explosive Chandler offense vs the stout Valdosta defense. While the Valdosta defensive line may be able to slow down the Chandler running attack led by Oregon State commit RB T.J. Green they will have trouble matching up with the Chandler passing game. One thing Chandler has to be sure to do is protect the ball as Valdosta will be trying to lay wood whenever possible. We wouldn’t be shocked to see Valdosta win but we think Chandler will pull it out.
