Two games between ranked teams highlighted last weeks basketball action. Unfortunately neither game was very close. On Firday Prime Prep put the nation on notce by going to Huntington, WV and beating Huntington Prep 59-46. That win plus the win earlier in the week over Yates (Houston, TX) shoots them up to #3 in the rankings. On Saturday Montverde Academy solidified their #1 ranking by blasting Simeon 82-53. Sunrise Christian Academy makes their debut this week in place of Montrose Christian. There are a number of good games this week starting tonight with #2 Findlay Prep and Bishop Gorman renewing their Las Vegas rivalry. #16 St. John Bosco and #9 Mater Dei square of Wednesday then Bosco faces #13 Bishop Montgomery this weekend. Also this weekend #18 Southwind and #20 Simeon face off to see which team can stay in next week’s rankings.
