Jake Fruhmorgen is rated by Scout as the No.10 offensive tackle in the class of 2015. The 4-star has been hitting the road with visits lately, but has it down to three schools now. He talked about those three schools and his announcement when we caught up with him recently.
His three schools are Clemson, Florida, and Michigan and he said he was “going to probably announce next week at Plant (his high school)”.
The Gators are the in-state school and he said he likes that they are close to home.
He recently took a visit to Michigan and said it was “real cool”. “(The) tradition and coaches were great.”
Clemson has been rumored to be his favorite, and Fruhmorgen said the message from Dabo Swinney has been “all great stuff”. He added that “possible early playing time and a chance to play for titles” were also part of Coach Swinney’s message.
Fruhmorgen said he thought he had the best shot at playing early at Clemson and Michigan, but that a lot of other factors come into play, adding that there’s “lots of work to do no matter where you go”.
“(My) family and I will make a decision this weekend so I can concentrate on senior year”.
He’s not sure which day next week he will announce, and said he would discuss it with his coach first.
