Chuma Edoga, one of the nation’s top offensive linemen, recapped his commitment to USC in a recent interview with Prep Force. He also spoke about Georgia’s recruiting pitch to him.
Q: What has been your favorite part of the recruiting process?
A: “You know meeting all the different coaches and seeing the different approaches”
Q: What was it about USC that made you know you wanted to go ahead and commit?
A: “I just loved it. Me and my mom went in April. The coaches are cool guys and I like the offense they run.”
Q: How much pressure was there from Georgia for you to stay in-state?
A: “They would say you know we could win a national championship if we keep all the in-state guys, so yeah there was definitely a little pressure.”
Q: How has Coach Sarkisian been so successful recruiting even though he hasn’t been at USC long?
A: “Good things are to come. He has some good coaches over there.”
Q: How much of a factor was distance in your decision?
A: “Distance wasn’t really a factor. I just wanted to pick the best school for me no matter how far away it is.”
