Austin Bryant is a 4-star defensive end in the class of 2015, and he was recently on campus for Dabo Swinney’s “All In Cookout”. He pulled the trigger and committed to the Tigers Friday night, boosting Clemson’s already top-5 recruiting class.
The family atmosphere and relationships he built along the way became one of the deciding factors. “It had the total package”, Bryant said. “I had an awesome relationship with every coach”.
He liked the family feel the cookout had. He also stated that his family liked the campus and the coaches. Since Clemson was already high on his list, he decided to pull the trigger on a commitment. “It (Clemson) has a family feel, and you can really thrive in a place that you are comfortable at”, Bryant told us.
He will be a big part of Clemson’s defensive line in the future, but for his freshman season he looks forward to getting better and working with the coaches and strength coach. “I just wanna come in and get better”, Bryant said. “I just wanna help the team in any way that I can”.
Bryant recently competed at Nike’s Opening camp and had a good experience. He enjoyed getting to compete with some of the top players in the country and said it was an unbelievable experience.
Some of the top schools in the nation were after Bryant’s commitment, and he says that Notre Dame, Florida, Florida State, and Stanford finished behind Clemson.
