High School Football National Champions
This is always the worst poll to do every year. It’s the final one which means the high school football season is over. We now have to wait 8 long months for the next game. As for this season St. John Bosco is the Prep Force National Champion. The Braves played a tough national schedule which included taking out the WCAC champion and the Nevada champion. They avenged their only blemish of the year to Mater Dei in the playoffs. The Monarchs finish #2 in the polls. St. John Bosco had the best QB and wide receiving group which led the top offense in the country.
St. Thomas Aquinas jumps into the Top 5 off their Geico game win over St. Louis. The Raiders finished off their first undefeated season in almost 10 years. They just didn’t play a good enough schedule to get them over the hump for a national title. The final top 3 teams plus Duncanville and North Shore seemed to be the cream of the crop this year. Both of the Texas teams had injuries that cost them a chance at the national title. Marietta solidified their place in the Top 10 with their easy Geico win over Eastside Catholic. While St. John Bosco had the most explosive air attack in the country their was no better combo than Marietta’s Harrison Bailey to Arik Gilbert.
Thanks again for following the rankings this year. If you want to know more of the thoughts that go into the final rankings I will be doing another AMA on PrepGridiron.com at some point. Follow @PrepForce1 on Twitter to know when that will be.
