Week 2 is in the books and it was not a kind one to the experts. The 3 Georgia teams (Grayson, Buford, North Gwinnett) going down in their home state really hurt most of the experts. We are on to next week as Bill Belichick would say. This week we have 11 games once again because another game got rained out last week. This week’s schedule is highlighted by an out of state matchup of nationally ranked teams when Miami Central travels up to Washington D.C to play St. John’s College. New Jersey has 3 teams in the picks this week against out of state opponents. S.t Peter’s Prep looks to avenge last years loss to St. Joseph’s Prep. St. Joseph Regional looks to bounce back after last week’s loss against Imhotep Charter who is also coming off a loss. Finally Don Bosco Prep also travels to D.C. to take on Gonzaga. There are some big in state games this week. Hoover and Thompson meet in a rematch of their state semifinal game from last year. The is a NorCal vs SoCal battle when Folsom travels to play Chaminade in West Hills. Broken Arrow, the current #1 team in Oklahoma, travels to Owasso to take on the defending state champs in what should be a great game. There is a big battle going down in Chicago when Simeon and Phillips Academy meet for city bragging rights. In Georgia we have a 3A vs 7A battle when Cedar Grove and McEachern meet to see if David can take down Goliath. Rounding out the games this week is good one in California where one of Arizona’s top teams, Pinnacle, takes on Top 10 team Junipero Serra and a battle of Louisiana vs Arkansas between Evangel Christian and North Little Rock.
