Week 0 is in the books and we have a 3 way tie at the top. Brian (247), Jamie (PrepNation) and avid (PrepGridiron) all ended the week 7-2. Every expert ended up with a winning record last week. The Dutch Fork versus Mallard Creek game was rained out so we ended up only picking 9 games. This week’s 10 games involve some national powerhouses squaring off. The game of the week goes down in Las Vegas where Mater Dei travels to play Bishop Gorman. The Monarchs won last year’s game 35-21 at home so the Gaels will be looking to return the favor. There is a battle of ranked southern California teams when Corona Centennial, fresh off their big win last week, travel to play Orange Lutheran. Four of the games this week are going down in Florida with two big out of state battles along with two in state battles. Dematha at St. Thomas Aquinas is one game this week all the experts agree on, but we learned last year that’s not always a good thing for the team that gets picked. Good Counsel is another WCAC team going out of state to try and get a big win when they travel to Marietta. The Blue Devils will be fired up coming off a 51-41 loss last week. Trinity is another team looking to bounce back from a loss with their 2nd game in a row versus a team from Indiana. There is a big in Ohio between Hoban, who has been getting a lot of preseason love, and the always great St. Ignatius. The final game is one of the ESPN kickoff games with Cedar Grove traveling to Alabama to take on Hewitt-Trussville. Read below to see who the experts picked.
