Welcome to another week of the National Expert Pick’Em. This week is full of conference and league games. Some of which will determine who brings home the regular season title. The game of the week is a Trinity League game for the second week in a row. This time it will be to see who finishes second in the regular season. As everyone knows by now St. John Bosco defeated Mater Dei pretty handily last week. This week they have to go on the road to face a very good JSerra team that only lost to St. John Bosco by 7. Coming into the season the Braves and Monarchs were thought to be the clear cut best 2 teams in California. While this may still be the case this game is not a foregone conclusion. With that being said it’s a clean sweep amongst the experts who all picked Mater Dei. As followers of the picks know a unanimous choice is definitely not a sure thing. There are two other games in California this week. Liberty goes on the road to take on traditional power Pittsburgh to determine the BVAL regular season champ. Oaks Christian travels to Calabasas to battle for the Marmonte League title.

Another big game this week is going down in the WCAC. This is another game that will likely determine who finishes second in the regular season. Dematha can still win the title if they beat both Gonzaga and St. John’s College, but most consider the Cadets to be the big favorite after last week. Seven of the eight experts are going with the home team Good Counsel to bounce back from last week’s loss and get the W. In Detroit Cass Tech and King will meet in what is always a bitter rivalry game to determine who’s the best team in not only the D but likely the state of Michigan. Down in Alabama Thompson will travel to Mountain Brook to see who’s the best team in 7A Region 3. In Florida 3A power Clearwater Central Catholic will head to Tampa to take on 5A power Jesuit in one of those class battles that we love to see, especially this late in the season. The final two games of the week are in New Jersey where Don Bosco travels to Depaul and in Tennessee where Brentwood Academy looks to bounce back from a shocking upset to take on Montgomery Bell Academy.
