Another year, another classic, same result. Booker T. Washington held on to bear Miami Central 21-20 In front of a sold out Traz Powell Stadium Friday night in Miami. Mark Walton led the way for the F5 Tornadoes who solidified their spot among the best in the country again and vaulting up to the #2 spot. I’m sure other national outlets will drop the Rockets out of the top 10 but not here. After the game last year the Rockets finished the rest of the year without a loss on their way to a state title and finished national runner up in our rankings. We see them bouncing back and winning another state title this year. Bellevue (WA) and Gonzaga (DC) jump into the top 10 based on their impressive out of state road victories over previously ranked teams. It was especially nice to see the Wolverines go out of state this year and play a tough foe. We know year after year they are the best team in Washington but now they have proved they are a real national contender again. Don Bosc (NJ) makes debuts at #15 this week ahead of their matchup with #1 St. Thomas Aquinas. Bishop Gorman (NV) drops out of the top 10 after escaping with a home OT victory over Bingham (UT). The loss does vault Bingham into the top 25 this week. Also debuting this week in the rankings are Don Bosco (NJ), Mountain Pointe (AZ), and Manvel (TX)
